We are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Willett as our Deputy Head - Pastoral
March 2025: Peter brings with him over 35 years of diverse experience in education and the British Army. With an unwavering commitment to excellence in education, he is dedicated to maintaining high standards of behaviour, aspiration and care - Qualities that align with our values at Shrewsbury.
With more than 20 years in international education, Peter has held prominent leadership positions at globally-renowned institutions such as Sedbergh School, China and Aiglon College in Switzerland. His key focus on imparting holistic education and fostering a strong culture of care and safeguarding at these institutes, makes him perfect for this role at Shrewsbury International School India.
A talented artist and an arts educator, he has guided numerous pupils to secure places at world’s leading art, design and architecture schools.
Peter will work closely with our leadership team to devise comprehensive school policies, conduct training for staff and pupils, and establish support channels so that every pupil feels heard, respected and valued. His proven ability to weave school ethos into everyday routines will ensure a fulfilling experience for staff and pupils alike - truly the foundation of Shrewsbury’s whole-person approach to education.
