Welcome to the vibrant co-curricular life at Shrewsbury International School India!
At Shrewsbury International School India, we believe that education extends far beyond the traditional classroom. It is for this reason that we often refer to the co-curricular life of the School as the ‘second classroom’—a space where pupils discover passions, develop character, and cultivate the skills required to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
Pupils are encouraged to participate widely across a rich and diverse range of sports, music, drama, creative arts, clubs and societies. With over 20 sports on offer, alongside outstanding facilities and expert coaching, every child—regardless of ability or experience—has the opportunity to find their rhythm, push boundaries, and develop the resilience, teamwork, and perseverance that sport so powerfully instils.
The performing arts hold a central place in our school culture. In collaboration with the prestigious Trinity College London, our music and drama programmes offer structured pathways for pupils to excel and gain internationally recognised qualifications. Alongside Western traditions, we place equal emphasis on celebrating India’s rich heritage of classical music, dance, and performance arts, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive environment where pupils can explore both global and cultural identities through creative expression.
Our clubs and societies further enrich this second classroom experience—offering pupils opportunities to pursue interests in AI & Robotics, sculpture, debating, the World Scholar’s Cup, environment and sustainability, and much more. These activities cultivate curiosity, independence, and critical thinking, nurturing well-rounded individuals with a global outlook.
Pupils are also encouraged to participate in the International Award for Young People (IAYP), which is offered at Shrewsbury India. This internationally recognised programme enables pupils to engage in meaningful social work and adventurous journeys that help build confidence, empathy, and leadership—essential traits for those who aspire to shape a better world.
Whether a pupil arrives with established interests or is discovering new passions for the first time, our co-curricular programme is designed to inspire. Every experience contributes to the development of valuable soft skills—leadership, collaboration, creativity, and perseverance—skills that are essential for life beyond school and on the global stage.
At Shrewsbury India, the second classroom is not simply a place of enjoyment and exploration, but a dynamic platform for growth, purpose, and possibility.
